Congressional Advocacy: An Afternoon on Capitol Hill
Join community development leaders from across the country for a visit to Capitol Hill. Conference attendees will meet with U.S. Senators, Representatives, and their staffs to describe how CDFIs invest in communities and build local economies. You will be able to engage with policymakers and talk about your CDFI’s impact as we collectively make the case regarding why federal resources and support are essential. Conference attendees will seek support for CDFI policy priorities, highlight the growing demand for CDFI financing, and demonstrate how CDFIs transform lives and neighborhoods across America.
OFN Public Policy staff will schedule your appointments, provide talking points on OFN’s legislative priorities, provide materials to use during the meetings, and offer pre-Conference webinars to answer your questions.
Transportation to and from Capitol Hill will be provided. You MUST have pre-registered by September 18 in order to participate in the Congressional visits.

- Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS)
- Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH)
